MADEIRADiG Festival back in December

In times of pandemic confinement, the joint partnership of APCA - Madeira, Estalagem da Ponta do Sol and the German agency Digital in Berlin is still active and is currently preparing the 2020 edition, setting the dates for the 17th edition of MADEIRADiG - International Festival of music and digital arts, which this year will take place from 3 to 8 December as usual between Ponta do Sol and Calheta.

The format of the event will follow the example started in 2019, integrating several local artists and other artistic expressions, in the field of digital and avant-garde arts as well as making use of several spaces for exhibitions, training workshops and audience development as well as live performances in both Ponta do Sol and Calheta.

MADEIRADiG was one of the projects supported by the DGARTES grants in 2018 and 2019, as well as integrates since 2019 the Portuguese Music Festivals platform, a project promoted by the Tourism General Directorate of Portugal.
The programme, which is under construction, will be announced in due time in the media and on the festival's website at during next months, being certain for now that the innovation and excellence lines of that have marked MADEIRADiG since 2004 are to be fulfilled and maintained.
